Editorial review:

This beautifully renovated Georgian townhouse will take you back to one of the most elegant eras in Dublin’s history. Enjoy the understated luxury and modern amenities and if you want to splurge, try the Thomas Leighton suite. Every sleeping room has authentic antique furniture.

Verified Reviews:

  • Fine hotel - Didn't feel safe - Small creaky steps - Would stay here again
  • Lobby was comfortable - Public kitchen - Noise from the traffic - Small sized tv
  • Great location - Closeness to city centre - Breakfast is not included
  • Room was spacious - Comfortable bed - Free wi-fi - Way over priced
  • Basic but central - Clean room - Decent sized bathroom - Staff were friendly

Very nice location, close to the shops and restaurants. Clean apartment.

    1) Kitchen pans and pots were like from last century - very old and in a bad condition. 2) There was a heating box placed in the bedrom (!!!) which made enormous sound when any water (even when wc is flushed..) is being used in the apartment.

Staff were friendly. but the apartment didnt look anything like the pics on the website.Dirty walls,TV didnt work otherwise it was ok. About a 20min walk to temple bar.

Had a whole flat to ourselves with 8 bunk beds due to the two doubles we were supposed to have being replaced. Reminded us 5 of school trips abroad! All the beds were memory foam too, so a comfy nights sleep! Liked being able to cook our own food and sit around drinking comfortably in private. Also had a balcony, but we were on the front floor so didn't really use it much.

The one thing I did like about the apatment was that the bedroom and bathroom were very warm.

There were a great many things I did not like about the hotel including the poor welcome greeting from the reception staff, the fact I had to wait 10 minutesto get into the reception area as the receptionist was away from his desk, the budget quality and finish of the rooms, and that my apartment door lock was broken and would not lock from the inside.

Location (near to citycenter), busstop (airportbus) just at the hotel, balcony at the apartment for smoking

The apartment was in a poor condition (not enough cooking facilities), the bedroomwindow was broken and covered with a wooden plate, taking water was always very loud (waterpump in a warderobe)

  • Group of friends

The balcony and the fact that the apartment was on two levels

The finishing on the building in the rooms was badly finished and needed updating

  • Group of friends

I was disappointed at the price hike due to the take that concert and also the fact although the room was clean floors were damaged and in need of refurbishment also that the bedroom window was boarded up wasn't very appealing also the fact there was no warm water for bath or shower

    Good location and excellent value

We were not permitted access to the small balcony due to health and safety

The location is the best and only thing I would say about this hotel.......

How this hotel got 4 stars I don't know! I definitely won't be going back - my apartment was on the 4th floor with no lift and no offer of help with the luggage. There were bare wires hanging out of the wall behind the entry door, the shower wasn't that clean, there was a dried out contact lense on the floor and one of the light bulbs had blown in the bathroom which hadn't been changed. The sofa in the lounge area was stained and smelt musty. The bed was small although the sheets were clean (thank heavens!). Seemed like a back packers place that had tried to go upmarket to charge more but failed miserably.....

Staff very friendly and the apartment was clean and well equipped.

Bedrooms can be noisy with those above, they seemed to be rollerblading across the apartment all morning !

We were on a city break to Dublin

The tv did not work and the microwave was faulty and didnt work, t here appeared to be a faulty wire.

  • Couple

The apartment we stayed in was very nice, clean and modern. The location was very good too, 5 minutes walk from O'Connell street (the street at the heart of the city) and 10 minutes walk from Temple Bar (where all the best pubs are).

  • Group of friends
    6.2

It was well located for our purposes - we were performing in a show and our venue was about 10 mins away. It was very cheap for self-catering accomodation. The kitchen was mostly pretty good - large fridge-freezer, lots of cupboard space, oven, hob, microwave. 24-Hour reception was useful. The lobby is quite a pleasant place to sit.

Everything in our flat was really noisy - the doors, the floors, the pipes - if you were up before everyone else you couldn't help waking them! There were no curtains in the living room, which wasn't good for the people sleeping on the sofa-bed. Our sink in the bathroom was blocked and we told staff several times but they didn't sort it out. Some things were broken eg doorhandles, cupboard doors. Only half the hob worked. There were no sharp knives in the kitchen so we had to buy some. The wifi didn't work either in the apartment or in the lobby. The apartment slept 4 adults but there were only 3 chairs.

Location, though the methadone clinic clients surroundings might catch some customers off guard

Terrible state of repair, basically unfit for use. I had booked 4 nights, but had to cut it short. If i hadnt had such a long journey and day previously i wouldnt have even stayed the one night, but i decided to give the staff a chance to rectify the issues ( which were clearly beyond their scope). Manager eventually did telephone to confirm that she would refund remainder of the stay ( yet to be checked), and was very curteous about it.
